About Sabrina

BSc Food Science and Technology

Hi, I’m Sabrina − a food technologist, science enthusiast, and mum on a mission to make food feel simple again.

I started Self Capture to help families cut through the noise, ditch food guilt, and rediscover balance on their plates. Here, you’ll find practical tips, myth-busting truths, and real nourishment  built on evidence, not fear.

I believe food should feel safe, satisfying, and joyful  for everyone at the table.

My Approach

I believe family meals should be simple, nourishing, and stress-free. My focus is on balance − not strict rules or trendy diets. Food should support energy, growth, and joy while respecting each person’s unique needs, including picky eaters and those with food sensitivities.

My Process

I combine my background in food science with everyday family life. That means:

  • Translating science into easy, practical tips
  • Sharing recipes that use real, accessible ingredients
  • Offering strategies for kids who struggle with textures, flavors, or variety
  • Encouraging mindful eating without guilt or pressure

Unique Framework

What sets this blog apart is the blend of science + family reality. You’ll find not only recipes and meal ideas but also guidance on food choices, label decoding, and gentle strategies for creating positive mealtime experiences. My goal is to give families tools they can actually use − for health, connection, and confidence.
