About Me
My Story
Meet Sabrina
Hi, my name is Sabrina and I’m so happy you’re here.
I’m a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and a lifelong lover of science, nutrition, and learning.
(Food Technology is the scientific understanding of how food is developed, processed, and kept safe − bridging science with everyday meals.)
Having this website has been a dream of mine for a long time, but I never quite had the courage to show up − until now.
That changed after spending time on social media, where I noticed just how much misinformation and fear-mongering exists around food. It shocked me how easily people can be influenced by trending diets, wellness fads, or influencers who spread confusing or harmful advice.
That was the moment I realised something important:
We need a return to real health, both physical and mental.
That’s exactly what inspired the name of this blog: Self Capture.
Self Capture
Self Capture, to me, is about pausing in the middle of the busy rhythm of family life and choosing to hold on to the moments, the lessons, and the growth that often slips by unnoticed. It’s about capturing not just photos or words, but the essence of balance – between nourishing food, raising children, and staying true to myself. It means reflecting, learning, and creating in a way that feels honest, practical, and full of possibility. Self Capture is my reminder that I can shape my story with intention, while inviting others to find their own balance along the way.
Unique Framework
I created this space to bring together all the things I’ve learned in the lab, the kitchen and life. My goal is to offer guidance rooted in food science, common sense, and compassion to help you feel more confident, not confused.
Think of this as your friendly, no-judgement space for discovering what’s on your plate, so every meal can move you toward better balance and a happier relationship with food.
